Most attorneys have stories where they thought they would "win" and they lost, those same attorneys will have stories where they thought they would lose and they somehow "won."
To Lie An attorney will not lie for you. No matter the case your lawyer is doing his job. A lawyers job is often to advocate for you. This does not mean to lie for you. An attorney can lose their license and their job if they are caught lying, even if it is for their client. Your case, no matter how important it is to you, is not worth a lawyer's license.
Empty threats Under the same line of thinking for lying, you should not hire a lawyer just because you want to scare or threaten someone if you have no intention of pursuing your legal rights.
